Dan has spent the majority of his career in strategic and analytical roles within the transportation industry. With 10+ years of financial and technological experience in both asset-based and non-asset based transportation, he understands the importance in leveraging technology to accomplish business needs in an industry where every penny counts. As a Finance and Technology executive, Dan focused on innovation to improve process, efficiency and reduce cost. A graduate of The University of Akron and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Villanova University), he is motivated to partner with transportation providers in order to help improve business performance at every level.
As a transportation executive, Dan led multiple strategies to improve driver performance alongside MPG & fuel programs. He led the implementation of operational and financial software and the business processes associated with them. A leader in Finance, Dan was responsible for the creation of the company financial reporting package and operational measurements. As one of his proudest accomplishments, Dan led the design, return on investment analysis and securing of capital to fund an alternative fuels strategy that resulted in 40% of the over the road trucking fleet to be converted to compressed natural gas (CNG).
Firmly believing that the key function of technology is to enable a business to improve efficiency and effectiveness, he understands the importance of the data that business intelligence provides and the criticality of finely tuned processes.
